CountryWatch database provides up-to-date news and information on the 192 countries of the world. CountryWatch is a useful resource for students with assignment that requires country information and global interest. CountryWatch consists of a set of demographic, political, economic, business, cultural and environmental information in the form of Country Reviews. Country Wire provides daily news coverage from several regional news services for every country.

3. CountryWatch Data provides macroeconomic, economic sector, health, demographic, human development, and environmental data sets across a ten year span. This statistical set is searchable through five primary categories and 24 sub-categories.
To access the data, first select the preferred countries or regions; second, select the preferred research dates; and third, select the desired data categories. Results are then ready to be displayed. All search results may be downloaded into a separated spreadsheet (e.g. Microsoft Excel)

4. CountryWatch Map includes two different types of maps:
(1) Thematic Maps: Some of these maps have been created from some of the data contained in CountryWatch Data. The data sources and definitions for each thematic map are available from the CountryWatch Data section of the CountryWatch.com website. A small portion of these maps depict global themes in standard (non-GIS) form. The actual themes of the maps range from demographic considerations, such as population density, to economic considerations, such as GDP per capita.
(2) Political/Physical Maps: These world and regional maps depict topographical and physical features as well as political boundaries. They effectively supplement the political maps which are available within each Country Review.
How to search: To view the maps, first select the preferred map from the “thematic” and “political/physical” options; and second, select the category of map generated from the drop down menu of options. The map is then ready to be displayed. It should be noted that while the maps can be printed or downloaded in .gif or .pdf formats.
